Grand Re-Opening of Beale Street's East End & Peabody Rooftop Party

This past weekend (Thursday thru Sunday) was so action packed I'm just now able to sit down to blog anything! :-) It all started Thursday night with the Block Party celebrating the Grand Re-opening of Beale Street's East End! I paid $5 to get a wrist band and it came with two tickets for free wine! Met up with some friends at the new Red Rooster, and after the wine was gone, snagged some of the free food there and a large beer.


Later ended up at the Daisy Theater which I've never been in before. The inside was really nice and we found out that they rent out the place for wedding receptions, parties, etc. for $3000/night. Later took a tour of the WC Handy house which is located right next to the Red Rooster.


After Beale Street, next stop, The Peabody Rooftop Party featuring Rhoney G! The night's theme was Mexican food and it was REALLY good. Happy Birthday to my new friend Sara and my tweep (twitter peep) Emily. Nice to meet some tweeps in person for once. :-)
