Happy Birthday Kris!

Yes, I still have some past events to tell you about, but I thought I would jump ahead to something a little more recent – like THIS past weekend! Saturday night, I had the honor of being invited to Kris Kourdouvelis’s 50th birthday party at The Warehouse. Now Kris and Sharon always throw some of the best parties in Memphis, but they really outdid themselves this time.

I arrived fashionably late, as I took forever to get ready then had to wait for the trolley. But I made it just in time for the fire dancers… Yes, the fire dancers! They performed on a makeshift stage in the backyard with swinging balls of fire, fire blowing, and belly dancing.

Fire dancers take the stage!

There were several beer taps located around the party, so everyone’s cups stayed full. And just to make sure we got some food to soak up all this beer, there was a table full of appetizers, PLUS a full BBQ spread with pulled pork, baked beans, potato salad, and cole slaw. Not to mention, there was a corn dog stand out back too!

I got my picture with the birthday boy. AND his parents were there to celebrate with him, too!

Then came the music! The Bar-Kays, Jason D Williams, and Al Kapone all performed. It was a great mix of music genres that everyone seemed to enjoy. I even got a little swing dancing in when JDW was playing. And we all hit the dance floor again, when Al Kapone rocked the party out, per usual.

The Bar-Kays performed first, followed by Jason D Williams. Kris got up on stage to "play" the piano as well.

We defintiley had fun - partying with fellow blogger Brian, hanging with the ladies, rocking out with Chad.

Al Kapone wished Kris a happy birthday, then came the champagne!

Kris parties while Al Kapone performs, and Muck Sticky even made an appearance.

A huge thanks to Kris and Sharon for the invite. And many more happy birthdays to Kris!
