Memphis BrewFest 2010

So I went to the Memphis BrewFest on Saturday and it was incredible! I quickly realized that you can drink a lot of beer if it's of good quality. Later in the night I bought a PBR and let's just say it's not the same quality... in fact I couldn't even finish it. This might have something to do with sampling 60+ beers earlier in the evening...? Hmm... All I know is that this was an incredible event and I can't wait for the next one... Zoo Brew! :-)

The event took place at AutoZone Park and started one hour later due to the storms that came through earlier in the day. There were all kinds of great tasting beers from around the world as well as good friends from around the world!

Met up with my friend Ashley and her husband Jamie. If you're a Flying Saucer fan, you'll know who Gary Smith is or at least know his plate at the Downtown Memphis Saucer. He's known for having the most rounds of plates at the Flying Saucer and was to have his 13th Plate Party the following day. More on that in another blog as I was lucky enough to join him at the plate party and toast his new plate unveiling, all after the Great Wine Race!

Later met up with more friends who I am apparently holding up or they're holding me up, not sure which. Thanks Rebecca, Erin and Penelope for a fun time!

Friends in the band the New Science System rounded out the night with a concert at the New Daisy. This is also where I bought my final beer, the PBR that I couldn't finish. I know a certain blogger named Paul who will be shocked and offended that I had to throw away a good PBR. Sorry Paul, it had to be done...
